The story of Hotel Burnham is Architecture. Hotel Burnham is not only a landmark “Chicago-style” building and icon, but one in the history of architecture. Guests live inside the vision of turn-of-the-century architects Daniel Burnham, John Root and Charles Atwood. Using a radical steel and glass design, they created the Reliance Building ushering in a new era of building design, setting the precedent for the modern skyscraper, and forever changing the field of architecture.
