Whenever possible, the Pacific Palisades Hotel logotype is created using the Pantone or process colors listed on the Color guidelines page. The color yellow is only to be used for the box that houses the sun and the wave/mountain symbol. The other three colors can be interchanged on the top "Palisades" banner (figures 1-3)with only one rule: the color of the banner cannot be the same as the background color of the logo. For example, if the logo has an orange banner, it cannot be applied to a piece with an orange background; a purple banner cannot be on a purple background, etc.
The greyscale version of the logo (figure 4) can be used for black & white publications, newsprint, etc. This version should not be used for faxing or photocopying. The line art version of the logo (figure 5) is used for faxes and photocopies.
If a single color (such as orange or purple alone) is to be used, this version of the logo should be applied. No other colors or color combinations should be used.
